Found 'Em!

Turns out that a totem pole has a natural life span of about 75 years.
When it falls of its own accord, it is left to become one with nature.

These are all recreations but still hold the same meaning with each figure representing part of the Native culture.  Some are a little bit spooky but artistic.

What?

My favorite so far.

Sunday we wandered around Ketchikan and were surprised to see all the cruise ships leave in the mid-afternoon.  The downtown shops all slammed their doors shut by 4:00 because we were the only people left and they could tell that we weren't trinket hunters.
